Learning

Last summer Josh and a group of Spoke Hollow guides took a trip out west and one of our stops was in Montana on the famous Bighorn river. We specifically wanted to scout the tailwater below Yellowtail Dam and what we found was a beautiful, clear, and very productive trout fishery. We spent a week meeting the people that work on the Bighorn and catching trophy size browns and rainbows. We loved the place and the people so much that we chose to come back during prime dry fly season (August) and this time want to bring along a few of our friends. Therefore, we are offering a limited number of spots to come fish with us and our partnered licensed Montana guides on the Bighorn River.

The Bighorn River
Montana’s Bighorn River is considered by many to be the beast blue ribbon trout fishery in the United States. Below Yellowtail Dam the Bighorn River is a clear cool tailwater housing between 3,000-5,000 trout per mile. The average trout caught on the Bighorn ranges from fourteen to twenty inches. Fishing this river is truly an unforgettable experience and we look forward to sharing it with you.

Guides
Our guides are experts on this water and can help all range of anglers, from a beginner to an expert fly angler. Majority of the time we will fish from drift boats, but will make stops to dry fly cast from the banks as well. Your fishing day will be tailored to your desire.
