A seventh-generation Texan, Josh founded Spoke Hollow Outfitters on a family ranch outside Wimberley, TX.

Josh Crumpton is a seventh-generation Texan. He spent the first part of his working life in wine and restaurants, where he learned that a good evening is built on small things done well: the right bottle, a well-set table, a host who pays attention. He stepped away from that career early and turned toward the land.
At Spoke Hollow, he began raising his own food, and that led him to hunting. The first time he brought game he had taken himself to the family table, the ranch stopped being only a place to live.
Spoke Hollow Outfitters grew out of that: a morning behind good dogs, a long table at midday, and the attention to guests he learned in hospitality. Josh and the Spoke Hollow team host a small number of parties each season.
Josh also writes about hunting, fishing and wild game, hosts the television series No Small Water, and leads hosted experiences beyond Spoke Hollow. That work lives at texasjosh.com.
